Functional Rehab Academy

Stop guessing with complex clients. Start following a system that creates change in the first session.

A complete decision framework for Physioterapists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths and manuel therapists – so you exactly where to start, what to look for, and where the real root cause is hiding!

Built on 20+ years in the clinic and taught in person to over 1000 therapists –
distilled into four simple steps that work on any symptom or pain.

Sound familiar?

You have the education, the techniques and the experience – and still some clients feel like a maze.

A client with long-standing knee, hip, shoulder, neck or back pain looks at you with hope in their eyes. You find a few relevant things. First seesion feels fine. Second session, no change in symptoms. Third session, it´s actually a bit worse – and you start to doubting yourself.

The problem was never your skills. No one ever showed you a complete, systematic strategy from the moment the client sits down to the moment they reach their goal.

This program makes sense for you if you are experiencing things like this:

You feel like you´re chasing symptoms and not able to find the root cause!

You try one technique. It helps a little. You try another, maybe no chance. Three to five session in, you´re not sure you are any closer to the goal.

You are unsure where to start or which direction to take your client!

Which tests? What to look for in the movement pattern? Why is the client really in pain? Course after course and something is still missing!

Complex clients rarely fail because the techniques are wrong. They fail because the order or area of focus is wrong!

You end up treating compensations and protective patterns instead of the  actual root cause – in the wrong sequence. Pain and restriction are usually driven by dysfunctions somewhere else in the kinetic chain where the nervous system has locked down movement to protect a vulnerable area.

THE FOUNDATION

Functional Rehab Academy is
built on the JLGO method

It´s a simple but powerful four-step decision framework that guides you through the entire session. It´s NOT just another technique to add to your collection – it´s the strategy that tells you in which order to use what you already know. Here´s how the four steps work

J

STEP 1

Joint Play

We start with specific joint play test of teh restricted or painful area – BUT only as a diagnostic map. They reveal whether teh restriction is truly local OR being drivin by compensations somewhere else in the body.

L

STEP 2

Local Muscle Function

Not about strength – about whetherthe muscle receives the right signals from the nervous system to do it´s job. When a locan muscle isn´t firing correctly, others are forced to owerwork and compensate. Restore proper muscle control and the overworked areas can relax. These finding hands us the map for the ENTIRE reahb plan.

G

STEP 3

Global Control

We zoom out to look at the big picture – functional kinetic chains, fascial lines, spinal function and the higher neurological control centers. This is where we uncover  the broader imbalances and compensation patterns that often plays a big part in the symptoms and limitations the client is experiencing.

O

STEP 4

Optimization

We focus on everything that promotes true healing and long-term resiliance – pain mindset, stress, sleep, specific loading startegies and more. We optimize the whole environment for recovery, so the improvements actually last.

Four steps. The same order. Every time. No guesswork – just a system.

Most courses teach you a new
technique. This teaches you when to
use the ones you already have

The body is complex – but the most powerful solutions are simple and systematic. While other approaches are region-specific or symptom focused, the JGO method gives you one universal model that works across every symptom. Because we don´t treat the symptom – we treat what´s driving it.

Muscles are what moves the body around and are directed by central nervous system.

No matter what kind of injury your clients are coming with, the muscle and nervous system are ALWAYS a part of the issue – from tendinopathy, instability, decreased joint motion, joint pain, muscle tension,  etc.

Learning to asses the function of you clients muscle system precisely, and thereby the discovering the faulty movement patterns of the nervous system, will help reveal the biomechanical part of their pain experience or lack of movement ability!
